£1 million campaign
To date we have raised £27,000 for orphans and the poverty stricken and a further £11,000 for Aid Egypt (Aid provided during the revolution- medical and humanitarian aid). Our latest campaign is being launched at present and is a £1 million campaign with the goal to be reached by the 2012 Olympics. To start this campaign we will be holding the biggest Arabic concert the UK has ever seen at the Indig02 which is in the 02 Arena.
A new dawn for Draw a Smile
It is almost a year to the day since our Launch Event that put Draw a Smile on the map, and we are revamping the organisation from top to bottom. This will enable us to streamline our projects and our charity as a whole, resulting in a more efficient working system. We need you to help.
We have many positions open to help, whether you feel up to being head of a department, or just a normal volunteer, we will welcome you with open arms. Our positions range from helping with events and projects, to liaising with our Draw a Smile counterparts abroad, as well as media, administrative, and PR positions.
These positions are unpaid, and are purely voluntary, however we must stress, that if you do wish to join, commitment and reliability are essential. Draw a Smile is not about the quantity of effort, but the quality. Despite this, even if you can’t commit long term and just want to help at events or on some projects that would still be a great help.

Draw a Smile...1 year on
Over the year of its existence, Draw a Smile has grown substantially from a membership of 3 friends in London, to over 3000 members across the world; from the US, to Sweden, to Spain, to Dubai, to China, to Australia - with many countries in between. Over this time we have raised over £36,000, through events that have been organised by unpaid volunteers, who have funded all admin costs through their own pockets and through the selling of merchandise. We are adamant to keep our vow to donors that every single penny raised in donations goes straight to the orphans we support.
