This summer, thousands of children, mothers, fathers, and lonely destitute people living on the street are facing hardship in Egypt, and in the months to come.

Draw a Smile's Ramadan campaign: Donating a few pounds to a RAMADAN BAG will help a family to feed themselves for a whole week! One bag costs £10 - EQUIVALENT TO only £1.43 a day, that's less than what you would normally spend on your morning coffee!
Rajab is the month of Cultivation, Shaaban is the month of Irrigation & Ramadan is the month of Harvesting. The Ramadan Bags project which is in constant need of your generous donations and support.
This project has been running for the past 7 years and has contributed over £40K for this cause, and this year Draw a Smile is determined to contribute to raising more funds than ever before.
If you're new to this initiative, the idea is to enable the poor & needy families in Egypt to sustain themselves during the month of Ramadan in a manner that preserves their dignity, allowing them to eat within their own homes & in a family atmosphere.
The average Ramadan bag will feed a family for a week, costing £10, & will consist of: Rice - Sugar - Pasta - Beans (Fasolia & Lobya) - Lentils - Dates - Oil - Tomato Puree - Vegetable Ghee - Chicken.
The two charity groups Draw a Smile is collaborating with have extensive experience of organising the Ramadan Bags project ( www.stablantar-dream.com & www.eedxeed.net) and aim to complete 2500 bags at least.
